Re-Opening the High Street Safely
There is a lot of information and guidance available on best practice for retailers, the hospitality sector, and the general public. With the situation changing frequently, it can be confusing to know what the most up to date guidance and rules are.
Our continued safety is vital, and we all want to avoid a further lockdown, so it is in all our interests to follow the guidance so that we can enjoy the freedom we all crave.
Social distancing, hand hygiene and mask wearing are likely to continue for some time to come. As the high street reopens, retailers, pubs, restaurants, gyms etc., will be putting the necessary measures in place. Let’s make sure we respect their efforts to keep us all safe, as well as respecting the safety of others by keeping our distance.
Let’s also support our local businesses who have had a tough time - shop local as much as possible, keep the high street alive!
And when you are out and about, in town, in the parks and elsewhere, let’s keep things pleasant by taking litter home, partly because that’s the right thing to do and partly because it eases the pressure on public services which have also been hit hard by the pandemic.
